We had to create a concrete table on the second floor of a small but cozy apartment in Amsterdam. The table had to be 140 centimeters long and 90 centimeters wide for it to fit in the room. The table should offer enough space for the passage to the balcony while offering a seat to 4 to 6 persons. The stand should be as transparent as possible while giving enough space for the legs. This will also create an open effect in the small room.
That’s why we designed a pebble shaped table with a heavy black metal stand. The stand is completely open and offers enough support for the weight. The concrete tabletop has a strong coating that won’t give moisture, vet, and acids a change. Scratching this concrete will be tough!
