Here in our Beton-Lab studio we drink a lot of tea all day long. That had to be recorded, but then with one of our panels.
As you can see here in the photos, no panel is the same. Each panel is unique in color shades and air bubbles.

Beton-Lab will participate with our @thenovelgrey wall tiles during the Milan Design Week at Isola Design District!
We would like to amaze you with the special shapes and appearance of our handmade tiles.
But above all, let yourself be inspired by all the creative circular solutions that you will also find in the 33 presentations on the largest covered square in Europe of no less than 4000m2; The Piazza Città di Lombardia.

Of course, this would not have been possible without winning a design Award at Isola Design in Milan last December and support from the Stimuleringsfonds NL. Both the award and the support confirm the necessity of our research and the beauty of our work. Dutch design and sustainable concrete go hand in hand and are relevant to an international audience. In fact, even Queen Máxima will honor us with a visit!

After a flight with a considerable delay, we went straight through the award ceremony. And how cool; we won with our tiles from @thenovelgrey in the category sustainability!!!

Levende Gevels - Één van de meest belangrijke S

Levende Gevels -
Één van de meest belangrijke SDGs waar wij als Beton-Lab aan willen bijdragen is SDG 11; duurzame steden en gemeenschappen. Dat doen we met puinverwerking en cementvervanging, maar dat is bij lange na niet genoeg. Expositie Stad=Natuur in de @LocHal, Tilburg, wil daaraan bijdragen met een expositie over klimaatadaptatie in de stad. Voor Victor Retel Helmrich, maakten we naar zijn idee een levende gevel. Vijf betonnen panelen van in totaal 2.50m hoog, met daarin een organisch gevormde hemelwaterafvoer met hoekjes, randjes en poeltjes waaraan algen, korstmossen, mossen en varens zich kunnen hechten en groeien. Zo geef je de natuur de ruimte en wordt deze onderdeel van de gebouwde omgeving! Functioneel voor een blinde muur op het Noordoosten én een tof waterspel van hemelwater dat niet in het riool verdwijnt. De expositie is nog t/m 20 november te zien! Op de foto's is een deel van de realisatie en het eindproduct te zien.
